If an employer issues two separate Forms W-2 Wage and Tax Statement and both contain state information from different states, but only one contains federal information, you are able to combine this information when entering it in the TaxAct® program. This will allow you to still e-file the return, and ensures that all information is transferred to the return for both Forms W-2.
In this situation, the first three screens when entering your W-2 would be completed from the information on the W-2 that contains federal information. The screen titled Enter your state income and taxes contains the state information from both Forms W-2, with one state entered on each line on the screen.
Alternatively, you can enter two separate W-2s in the TaxAct program, but would then have to paper-file the return.
