Michigan - Payment Options
1

The State of Michigan does not accept credit cards for payment of taxes and has no provisions for payments to be taken directly from your checking account at the time of filing your income tax return. For more information concerning this type of payment see the Collection Division website.

If you have previously sent your tax due payment by check and the check has cleared your bank, but the Department of Treasury has no record of the payment, you will need to send in a legible copy of the front and back of the canceled check so they can locate the payment. Send a copy of the billing received, a letter of explanation, and check copies to the address on the billing you received.

If your check is returned by the bank as unpaid you may receive a billing for additional penalty.
