TaxAct offers professional preparers the option to electronically file client returns in batches. To do this, you can choose to submit your client returns later, then E-file the client returns all at once.
To save a return for later:
TaxAct will indicate that the e-file record has been created. The file destination (XX represents the last two digits of the tax year) for the return you saved for later is here on your desktop: C:\TaxACT\TaxACT 20XX Professional Edition\Client Data\[Practice ID]\EFILES (or EFiles)
If you use TaxAct Enterprise Editions and save to the TaxAct Servers, the file destination (XX represents the last two digits of the tax year) for the return you saved for later is here on your desktop: C:\TaxACT\TaxACT 20XX Professional Edition\Client Data\[Practice ID]\Online\EFILES (or EFiles)
If a return is modified after you chose to submit later, you must go through the filing steps again to choose to submit it later because the previous e-file record has been replaced.
