Form 1099-K - Entering in Program

Form 1099-K Merchant Card and Third-Party Network Payments must be entered in to the TaxAct® program through one of the following schedules:

Schedule C

  1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal.
  2. Click Business Income in the Federal Quick Q&A Topics to expand the category, and then click Business income or loss from a sole proprietorship
  3. Click New Copy of Federal Schedule C (Desktop users click Add) to create a new copy of the schedule or Review to review a schedule already created
  4. Continue through the interview screens until you reach the screen titled Business Income - Income, then click Yes
  5. Click Continue or No until you reach the screen titled Business Income - Form 1099-K, then click Yes
  6. The program will proceed with the interview questions for you to enter or review the appropriate information

Schedule E

  1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal.
  2. Click Rent or Royalty Income in the Federal Quick Q&A Topics to expand the category, and then click Real estate rental income
  3. Click New Copy of Federal Schedule E (Desktop users click Add) to create a new copy of the schedule or Review to review a schedule already created. 
  4. In the property type drop-down menu, select the appropriate description. Click Continue.
  5. Continue through the interview screens until you reach the screen titled Business Income - Income, then click Yes
  6. Click Continue or No until you reach the screen titled Rental Income - Form 1099-K, then click Yes
  7. The program will proceed with the interview questions for you to enter or review the appropriate information

Schedule F

  1. From within your TaxAct return (Online or Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click the menu icon in the upper left-hand corner, then select Federal.
  2. Click Business Income in the Federal Quick Q&A Topics to expand the category, and then click Farming income or loss
  3. Click New Copy of Federal Schedule F (Desktop users click Add) to create a new copy of the schedule or Review to review a schedule already created
  4. Continue through the interview screens until you reach the screen titled Farm Income - Income, then click Yes
  5. Click Continue or No until you reach the screen titled Business Income - Form 1099-K, then click Yes
  6. The program will proceed with the interview questions for you to enter or review the appropriate information
