With the TaxAct Refer-a-Friend Program, you can earn an Amazon Gift Card* for every new-to-TaxAct friend referral who files a paid federal return (value of the gift card is dependent on the offer at the time you make the referral). Your friends save too – they get a minimum 20% discount off any paid federal product.
We’ll reward you for up to 20 friend referrals per tax season.
Everyone! In order to earn a reward though, your friend (referral) must be a NEW customer (meaning they did not file with TaxAct last year) who files using a paid TaxAct product. Free returns do not qualify.
The email you send to your friends comes from your email address. In the email, there are detailed instructions telling your friend how to join the program and earn their reward.
It can take up to 30 days for you to receive your reward after your friend completes their paid return utilizing the coupon code you shared.
Once your eligible friend has completed their paid return, we'll send you an email with your Amazon.com Gift Card.
Yes. Send us an email, and we will re-send your reward to you via email. Make sure to supply us with the email address you used when you joined the Refer-a-Friend program.
No problem. Send us an email with the email address you used to register for the program. In this email, please send us the email address of your friend, and we’ll look at his or her referral in our system to see if they qualify.
Each email we send should contain an unsubscribe link, or you can go to our Contact TaxAct Service and Support webpage to contact us. The only reason you would receive email from us if you are not on our email list is because someone you know sent you a refer-a-friend email. We do not sell email addresses and we do not send spam.
This program has a simple set of rules to ensure that users are referring their friends and are not spamming large lists or referring themselves. The rules are:
