If the return was rejected for the reason "If Item H checkbox is not checked and Line 1 has a value equal to or greater than 5,000, then Schedule B (Form 990, 990-EZ, or 990-PF) must be attached to the Return (Rule Number: F990EZ-034-01)," you will need to check the box for Item H.

To get Item H checked, you must indicate the reason on Schedule B. For example, if you check "General Rule" on Schedule B, the "Schedule H" checkbox will be checked.

To enter or review information on Schedule B:

1. From within your TaxAct return (Desktop), click Federal. On smaller devices, click in the upper left-hand corner, then click Federal.
2. Click Schedules in the Federal Quick Q&A Topics menu to expand, then click Schedule B - Schedule of Contributors.
3. Click + Add Schedule B Contributors to create a new copy of the form or click Edit to review the Federal Schedule of Contributors.
4. Click Quick Entry to scroll down to answer all applicable questions or click Step-by-Step Guidance to proceed with the program interview questions.
5. After making corrections, repeat the Filing steps to resubmit the return.
