Republic Bank - Direct Withdrawal Explanation
1

TaxAct partners with Republic Bank & Trust Company (member FDIC) to allow TaxAct program fees to be deducted from your tax refund.

When you choose to have your TaxAct fees paid from your tax refund in the filing steps, you must accept the Refund Transfer Application and Agreement. Section 5 of that agreement authorizes Republic Bank to debit your account 77 days after your original estimated refund date.

If your refund is deposited within 77 days of the original estimated refund date, no further action is required.

If the tax agency does not deposit your refund, and your tax preparation fees have not been paid in full by April 13, 2024 or 77 days after filing, Republic Bank may withdraw funds from your account to pay your TaxAct software fees.

In this case, you will be notified by Republic Bank & Trust Company two weeks before the TaxAct program fee amount is automatically withdrawn. Another reminder email will come one week before the withdrawal, and the final notification will come three days before the scheduled withdrawal.

If you prefer, you can make the payment manually at any time by visiting the Tax Refund Solutions - Republic Bank website.
