How to Verify Your Bank Account Information in TaxAct

  1. Open your tax return in TaxAct.
  2. From the left navigation menu, click Federal.
  3. In the main window, scroll down and click Bank Account Information.
  4. Click Edit to review and update your bank details.
  5. Enter the following details in the appropriate fields:
    • Routing number
    • Account number
    • Bank name
    • Account nickname (Optional)
  6. Re-enter the Routing number and Account number for verification.
  7. If your account is outside the U.S., check the corresponding box.
  8. Select your Account type (Checking or Savings).
  9. Click Continue to save and proceed.
