Using the Offline mode sign-in allows you to access the program and continue using the software even without internet access. While using this method of sign-in, however, there may be some functions which are unavailable until you are reconnected, such as submitting electronic filings, etc. Also be aware that Offline mode is only available for preparers who are using Local storage; if you are using our Cloud server to store your returns, you will receive a prompt saying “This Practice cannot be used offline” if you try to use Offline mode.
*Please note that starting in 2021, there is always a Sign In with Offline Mode link located in the lower left corner of the sign-in page. This link is provided to allow you to access the Offline mode sign-in page even with an internet connection, and should not be mistaken as an indication that you are already in Offline mode. Prior to 2021, there was no direct link to Offline mode; you would only receive a “Work Offline” prompt if there was no internet connection.
