WebView2 Troubleshooting

  1. Log out of your Windows profile.
  2. Log back in under a Windows Administrator profile (or profile with Administrative rights).
  3. Open File Explorer (Windows Key + Letter E) and look in the Downloads folder to see if the WebView2 .exe file for 2023 is listed. If it is, then click on it to run through the Installation steps again. You don't need to uninstall anything prior to this step (this will not hurt any existing returns you may have in program already).
  4. After the installation is complete, log out of the Windows Admin profile, log back into your normal "non-admin user" profile, and try to access the 2023 program again to see if the problem persists.

Note: To check which version of WebView you are running, click on your Windows start icon at bottom of your screen, then click Settings > Apps > Default Apps. Type "WebView" in the search box under Apps & Features, and it should list which version you are running.
