TaxAct Online provides an easy-to-use interview format which will take you through your return from start to finish. You can also skip to any part of the interview by using the menus or the topic list. Alternatively, you can use one of the Assistants provided under Tools.

Menus

To navigate to a major section in the TaxAct program, click on any of the tabs on the side menu. This will take you directly to the beginning of that section. Then you can search for or select topics from the list.

Assistant

To search for a particular form or topic, you can click on Tools, then either Forms Assistant or Topics Assistant. Forms Assistant opens folder-like view where you can choose the desired form. Topics Assistant opens a search window and a link to the complete list of topics. 

A Donation Assistant is available in TaxAct Deluxe. The Stock Assistant is available in TaxAct Premier.
