The opportunity to print your electronic filing instructions is presented within the e-filing steps when submitting your return. You can choose to print your return at this time when presented with this option.

Should you either misplace the Electronic Filing Instructions or were unable to print at that time, they are also provided with your Electronic Filing Status. You may retrieve and print these instructions following the directions below.

Viewing and Printing E-FIle Instructions After Filing

1. Go to the Check E-File Status page.
2. Enter your SSN and your Federal Refund Amount or Amount Owed in whole dollar amount.
3. Click the Check E-file Status button.
4. Provided you have entered the correct amount and your return has been successfully e-filed, you will be presented with your Electronic Filing Status Report. Scroll down until you find the heading Federal Electronic Filing Instructions.
5. Simply click on the link that says, "Click here to view the Federal Electronic Filing Instructions for this return."
6. If you would like to print these instructions, choose the PRINT button on your browser or click File > Print depending upon your browser.
7. If you have submitted a state return, you can simply click the BACK button on your browser and then find the heading for your state. Click on the link to view your state e-filing instructions.
