I've been a TaxAct user for 10 years. The improvements in TaxAct's features, interface, customer service, overall brand have been noticeable. It keeps a modest brand, focusing on product quality and reputation. Specifically, in the few years its existed now, the XpertAssist feature has gone from a rough call-only feature to a call and chat option. The representatives are pros (sometimes ex-tax attorneys) with a love for taking me through the ins and outs of taxes. Thanks, TaxAct, for providing so enjoyable a software.
